The Perfect Question
What is it that I want? No one is perfect.
Why do her problems hurt me? Maybe because I love her more than I can see.
Why do I love her so much? For the favors she does for me are rare.
What do I have to look up to? She struggles to stay in one piece.
Why can’t they see that I have learned better? Because they don’t want it to happen to me.
Do they think I slept through all those nights? The noise was harsh in seventh grade.
Why do I feel so small compared to her? Because she “needs” more attention.
What about me? I am only here when she leaves.
What is it that I want? No one is perfect.
