What’s a Poem?!

A poem for 2:25 p.m.,

sounds easy enough.

But when I sit down to write,

nothing is on the page.

I end up doodling on the margin,

waiting for an idea to slap me across the face.

Hmmm…should I write about,

nah, that’s no good.

How about I,

oh that won’t work.

Who am I kidding?

I should just write a story.

Hey, wait a minute,

I just wrote a poem!
