Too Late

It’s amazing the feeling one person can give

One considerate thought that will make you live

Flying past, a single white dove

Telling you here that there once was love

The day you left

Was the day I died

Over and over

And over I cried

Gone with you was my heart broken

Each piece was your one way token

Once, a very long time ago

White doves that now lay low

That will fly no more

You left and now my heart is sore

Too much time I spent

Too much love I lent

And still wait for the day I will heal

The day your name no longer makes me feel

Like a bench broken

Like a mind stolen

Every night I still have one tear

That cries for the day that you are near

Dead notes sing for one more song

Hoping for the day you will sing along

The day you come back is the day I breathe

Now you are back and now I must leave

One heartbreak, I can’t take

Two, and I break

This will be your final warning

Our love broken that I’m still mourning

I had you once, I can’t have you twice

My heart frozen over like a block of ice

You’ve come back too late

You chose this long to wait

It didn’t bother you when I cried

Now it does, I think you’ve lied

Wake me up when you’re through

Do what you’ve got to do

But be gone

I don’t want none of your things left, not one

Pictures bringing back memories

This must be the end to our story

A new beginning in two separate ways

The moment I’m over you, I’m counting the days

I’ll be counting forever

At your site and I’m running for cover

I’m going straight under

And I just can’t recover
