My World
I build my world around me, like a house to keep me safe and warm But soon one part gives out, breaking more as it falls down I try to catch each piece, replace it with something new But I can’t keep up with all the falling, or soon I will too Just as everything starts to feel hopeless, as the last piece falls out of place A new foundation assembles, an opportunity to start again Each time it is rebuilt it is stronger than before Learning from past mistakes, preventing them from reoccurring So now when one piece falls the rest stand fast and strong I have time to catch each piece and fix them before others fall
