WHY ARE YOU SO GOOD TO ME?

Wandering down the lonely halls

no sense of purpose or meaning

A spirited voice shouts and calls

The day is transformed and all is well

Please take me away from this icy hell

Let’s retreat to our own world frozen in time

protected from hate and materialism

Help me find myself in you.

Your words lift me up, wash away my fears

A gentle touch calms my rushing emotions

merely your presence can make a bad day good

a good day better.

I dream that I can someday change your life in the ways that you have mine

A kind heart filled with love

A willing soul and a lending ear

two kindred spirits meant for one another

my guardian angel.

Why are you so good to me?

Why do you always say the right words to dry my tears?

You make me laugh

You ease my pain

Why can you agree with me and share your feelings without a word

You’ve changed me in so many ways, for better.

I wish I could put into words all that you mean to me

You are my best friend, my other half

My hope is that you are able to realize that

When you’re not around anymore, I know that through you I will have gained

the strength to be

on my own.

You are my protector and mentor

Why are you so good to me?

Am I the same to you?

Do I lead you on journeys new and pick you up when you stumble?

If I can mean one pinch of what you mean to me I will be satisfied.

Your kindness and wisdom have made me eternally grateful

Without you I am nothing.
